For every journey, there should be a roadmap – and, as you set out to learn the 24 key modules in our Krav Maga Beginner Program, here’s a quick look at the path you’ll be taking, and the information that you’ll be getting.

THE KRAV MAGA FOUNDATIONS VIDEOS

To start out, your first 4 weeks will be dedicated to learning the contents of the Krav Maga Foundations Videos

These are designed to give you a quick introduction to the basics of hand to hand self defense - so, you'll be learning about basic vital targets and strikes, methods of striking and kicking, parrying, and how to weave those things together to be able to actually give an account of yourself in a face to face fight.

One of the reasons we teach this way is to acclimatize you to the reality of dealing with someone who is actually trying to hit you - you learn to move around, shield against incoming strikes, and to learn early on to look for targets and opportunities to counterattack.

These skills are absolutely necessary, because they prepare you for the 24-module Krav Maga Beginner Program, and make it much easier to work with and to learn.

THE KRAV MAGA BEGINNER PROGRAM

The 24-module Beginner Program is actually the Yellow and Orange Belt syllabus section of our Krav Maga system - so you're learning the same sequence of skills that someone would be learning in an actual Krav Maga class.

Now that you’ve got a handle on some foundation concepts and techniques, it’s time to start applying our knowledge practically.

The Krav Maga Beginner Program is designed to equip you to defend against the 24 most common threats or attacks you are likely to face.

These are based on statistics obtained from hospitals, law enforcement, private security incident reports, and anecdotal histories in different communities and contexts.

These apply specifically to South Africa: however, the application is universal and easy to adapt to different situations.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR VIDEOS

Every week, as indicated above, you’ll receive a mail. The mail will contain a private link that you can click on to access the web page that the video is hosted on.

Once you’re there, you can watch the video online, or you can download it and add it to your collection by clicking the download button just beneath the video.
Easy as that!

Certain modules in the series are relatively simple, and you may only need one or two video clips to see a full explanation and demonstration of the techniques being taught, whereas others which are more complex, may require 4 or even 5 short videos per section.

Don’t panic, though – it’s not our intention to overload you with thousands of long-form videos that you have to wade through. Instead, we’ve taken the approach of keeping most video clips quite short (around 4-7 minutes on average), so that it’s easier for you to collect and store them.

So, instead of having to scroll through a lengthy 30-minute video to find the one small piece you’ve forgotten, you can reference the techniques and sections of the modules more easily, efficiently, and without wasting your time or testing your patience. Simple!

DON’T RUSH, AND LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE

Although you’re getting new videos every week, there’s no rule that says you have to learn every new segment in just a week. We understand that you’re sometimes snowed under and time is limited, and that certain modules require more time and practice.

So, as you get your videos, simply download them and store them in sequence, and work on them at a pace that suits you and your lifestyle. Have fun, and always remember that learning is an ongoing process, and a journey, not a race.

Simple, effective, and intelligent… your journey starts here.
